So I bought it as a stock 2009 Harley with the intent to turn it into a cafe racer/bobber style bike. Over the course of the two years that followed I spent an enormous amount of money making some of the following changes. (Please note, all of these upgrades were done by the authorized Harley Davidson dealership by certified Harley mechanics).
New cafe-style handlebars with aftermarket clutch and brake levers
Roland Sands (premium) cafe racer seat and front wheel stabilizer
Short shot exhaust pipes to maximize HP and sound
High flow air intake to maximize HP
Converted from 900cc (stock) to 1200cc engine (This dramatically improved power)
Rear fender elimination kit and new tail and front lights
Upgraded LED headlight
genuine leather wrapped grips
Powder-coated many accessories from chrome to black
Customer made/resprayed gas tank with classic/vintage Harley logo
Aftermarket/upgraded rear shocks
Installed bar-end mirrors
Upgraded speedometer housing elimination kit
This bike became an instant head-turner. Every time I stop at a gas station or even at traffic lights people roll down their windows and want to talk to me about how amazing it looks and sounds. I had people offer me money on the spot for it–but at the time I wasn’t willing to sell. Now, however, I’m moving into a stage of life with family and work that I don’t get the chance to ride it as often. This being the case, I’m finally ready to let my baby be with someone who’ll use her, love her, and give her the attention and ride-time she needs.
Regular service has always been done by the authorized Harley dealership. If you have any questions: 801-835-4950.
For shipping: You can either arrange for freight delivery (which really isn’t that expensive), or arrange to come and pick it up. I will work with you on both. You will, however, be responsible for the cost of both those options.
