1962 Moto Guzzi Lodola 235 GT

My 1962 Moto Guzzi Lodola 235 GT is the larger 4 stroke for the Lodola line. 4 speed with a DellOrto carb. I have owned this bike for 8 years and am reluctant to part with it, but it has not run lately and too many other projects keep it sitting.

It is not a restored motorcycle, but is all there and has some new equipment that make it nice. Most of the paint is original, but the frame was sprayed black at some point prior to purchase. The brakes, hubs, spokes, and rims are new-ish. It has excellent compression. Original Veglia speedo. Since it has only started occasionally, a thorough inspection would be required before getting back on the road.

The gas cap is the Brevettato type that uses a metal bar to close a spring-loaded cap. The clamp broke during my ownership which can be a common issue with these bikes. I have not found a replacement that fits. The bike has the original headlamp key as well as a manual I purchased.

The price on the Guzzi with the Pegaso, is modest considering the rarity and completeness of both. Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility, but I will be able to meet you or your shipper. The bike is located in an older neighborhood with good alley access, but the streets and corners can be tight. Non-titled, bill of sale.

I will accept a cashier’s check prior to pickup or cash upon pickup. No personal checks please. Happy to answer any questions.

1959 Pegaso 49CC
A pretty rare bike, I purchased the Pegaso approximately 7 years ago and took it through the usual startup procedure (carb clean, fluids, spark, etc) and had it running around the neighborhood. After a move across country 5 years ago, I put it in my climate-controlled garage and it has not been run since. Not a trailer queen, but a cool little Italian lightweight racer with plenty of character and patina. The Giuliari seat is in great shape with its signature red on black upholstery, it has a rare original CEV speedo blank, the original key, original components, and the paint and metal has the usual chips, nicks, and dings that you would expect from a bike this age. It may have been repainted at one time, but not since I have owned it.It is currently non running, but has compression. Non-titled, bill of sale only.
