For sale here is a very unique 79 Honda CB400T. I built this bike last winter and it was 100% stock and in excellent running condition. Nothing mechanically has been touched, it’s all original and in perfect shape. I even installed mufflers that had very similar specs to the stock ones just so I didn’t have to rejet the carbs and mess with it. Pull the choke and this thing fires right up every time no matter what the temperature is. Everything that I’ve done to the bike was just cosmetic. I started off by removing the rear tail section and installing a custom made cafe hoop. This has the integrated led tail, brake and turn signal light. The shocks were repositioned for a lower ride height. The custom seat was made to fit the hoop and it turned out great. The front forks were lowered 2″ to have a nice rake. It still rides great and has plenty of travel. The bars were swapped out for a lower profile set. These have led turn signals installed in the ends and a new relay was installed so they flash normal. The grips are brown with the same diamond pattern as the seat. The stock headlight was swapped out for a smaller profile one with a gravel guard. All the instruments were removed but I left the wiring and still have the gauges if you would like to re install them. The front fender was removed but the holes are still there in the forks if you want it back on. The engine was all cleaned up and prepped the right way. New high temp paint was sprayed and is holding up great. Everything that was left bare aluminum is brushed and has a nice uniform look. The wheels had the same brushed treatment done to them and the centers were painted to match the color of the header wrap. The tank and side covers were all stripped down and painted base clear. The colors of the stripes were matched to the wheels and the seat fabric. The paint turned out really good has no chips, scratches or anything, it looks perfect. The numbers are painted on but can be easily repainted if you desire. The tires and chain have also been replaced and only have about 500 miles on them. Overall this is just a great bike that gets tons of attention. It can be ridden on the highway no problem as long as you can judge your speed. I thought about installing a cell phone holder for the speedometer app but I just use it for around town anyways and don’t need it. The speedometer read almost 10k miles. I was told by the previous owner that this was accurate. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible, thanks.
