1985 BMW Cafe Racer

This is a 1985 BMW, it was their first 4 cylinder 1000cc with electronic fuel injection This was converted into a BMW Cafe Racer.custom built from an original well maintained original 1985 BMW K100 RS over a nearly 5 year project. Over the past 30 years I have restored many motorcycles in my garage as a hobby. This is my first that was this highly modifyed.My intention with this was to show it in Bike Shows as an example of a Cafe Racer that are a very popular style in Europe.The original running k100 was stripped to the bare frame it was sandblasted primed and painted. When reassembled the engine was gone over and all parts necessary for good performance were replaced the bike has not been ridden since it appears in the photos. See a video of it running, the whining sound is normal all the k100 make it. I am selling because of my illness kidney failure, that doesn’t allow me to ride or continue to do this kind of work any more. I will consider trades of equal value. Here is a partial list of new parts that were added. The original wheels were sandblasted and powder coated gold,new tires.All new brake pads were installed.The tank was stripped to the bare aluminum it was cleaned internally and coated inside,a new fuel pump filter and hoses,a new custom fuel cap, A custom machine turning effect was applied to the outside of the tank..All the lights are new and are functional. There are no gauges or a horn at this time because of my illness I can not complete this final task.So,I’m leaving the final detailing up to you.
