What do you see is what you get. I built this for my wife, but she has 0 interest on it…

This is the holy grail of Honda rebels.

For the connoisseurs out there, you will know that the 450 was only produced for two years.

This bike now wears blue plates due to its antique status, and certainly will be a collectible down the road.

This particular example has been tastefully converted to a bobber. It retains the original suspension, original airbox (to avoid tuning headaches), but now sports a springer seat, motocross bars, and a single steel fender.

The bike still retains turn signals, and all lights work as the original did.

The bike is a bit cold-blooded when starting, but once it does, it settles into a nice, low idle. It still has the original pipes, which produce a very nice burble. I can include a set of Harley Sportster pipes if the new owner is interested in doing this conversion.

There are only two negatives with this bike as far as I can tell. First is that the previous owner secured the speedometer with a hose-clamp (ugly). Second is that the shifter does not snap back all the time after a downshift. I found myself tapping the shifter with my foot after every downshift (just in case) and it works fine this way. I actually found myself doing this on my other bike as well, which is kind of funny… This is a known Rebel issue, which could be caused by crud on the shift-shaft, or a failed return spring that can be replaced with probably less than $50 bucks in parts. Otherwise this bike is sweet as hell, and a ball to ride.

I am 6’3” and find this bike to be confortable, but I’ve been told it looks small for me… whatever!

I want to see it go to a good home. I’ve put lots of work and love into it and have no doubt it will provide many miles of service. It’s a Honda after all…

I highly recommend you inspect this bike before bidding. Please make sure you have the funds, and your girl’s permission to buy it…

I can assist with loading into transport, but all transportation arrangements are to be coordinated by buyer.
