Hellion is a ONE-UP original build utilizing a Yamaha WR500z motocross bike as a donor. In 2016 the bike was finished and featured in various magazines, shows and blogs across the world. Below are a few links:~BIKE EXIF: http://www.bikeexif.com/yamaha-wr500~REVIVAL OF THE MACHINE did a spread in their magazine (No.9) a hard copy of the issue will be included with the bike. here is a link to their digital feature: https://revivalofthemachine.com/blog/hellion-one-up/~MAMA TRIED Moto show in Milwaukee displayed Hellion and the placard from the show will be included as well.
After the bike made the rounds in 2017 it spent most of its time on display, with the ocassional ride to bike meets and shows.
I recently took it back into the shop and updated it enough to warrant a new photoshoot. All pictures posted in this listing were taken this July, 2019.

I build all components in my shop including upholstery, TIG and MIG welding, metal shaping, tuning, engine rebuilds, paint, wiring, etc. The only jobs I hand off are the tank art and powder coating. Eric Snodgrass always does the best old school hot rod hand painting, and Custom Powder Coating in Fayetteville AR delivers the best finish and consistency with their powder.
This bike starts first kick, warms up quick and likes to go FAST!
Some things to consider before bidding:~It is a kick start only motocross engine with very high compression so if you have a bad knee, ankle or hip you may struggle to start the bike.~The 2 stroke engine uses at least 91 octane premixed and ideally ethanol free gas. I will include a measuring utensil and some Yamalube with the bike and show you how to mix and fuel the bike if desired. It is a simple but important process.~This bike is extremely fast, and light. Even with the smaller diameter front wheel, lowered center of gravity and forward seat it will pull wheelies in several gears without trying if you’re not careful.~Because of the intake design it should not be ridden in the rain.~The exhaust note is loud, I can send a video of start up, running and riding it upon request.~It is a cafe racer in the sense that it is as simple as can be. There is no horn, turn signals, battery, high beam, or keyed ignition switch.~The title is Arkansas and unbranded meaning it is street legal. States without inspections will be easy to register with. If you live in a state with inspections, call your state’s DMV to make sure that antique motorcycles are exempt from inspections. If they are not then contact me with what needs to be added to the bike and I can accommodate- note this may extend the delivery date. ~Due to the reasons stated above I would only recommend this bike to an experienced rider.
