For sale is my long time companion and willing accomplice to twisting canyon roads.
Within the last 5000 miles( 5 years), it has had :
* 4 speed transmission with kick starter and 11k miles, fresh fluid change
*New pistons, rings, wrist pins, valves, seals, guides and push rod tubes installed to freshen
up the top end with all machine work done by Meticulous Metals.
*San Jose Bmw lightened flywheel with new clutch , pressure plate, flywheel bolts and main seal
*34 mm round slide mechanical carburetors with K&N filters and Boxer Metal air box delete kit.
*Front forks rebuilt with new seals, fluid ,Progressive springs and new headset bearings.
* San Jose Bmw billet top clamp and lower fork brace.
*Front spokes replaced with stainless units, a braided brake line was added when I updated the
front master to a metric style.
* Hagon fully adjustable rear shocks.
* TC Composites rear fiberglass cafe cowl with Stout Upholstery seat.
*Trail Tech Endurance speedometer with billet mount.
* Simplified wiring harness with Wps featherweight lithium battery.
*Dunstall replica mufflers.
*Tank and cowl painted by D. Bohling.
It’s been a fantastic bike over the 15 years I’ve owned it and with the cafe conversion done about 5 years ago it’s refreshed for a long life ahead it. There is normal wear and a couple little scrapes in the paint from a trip to Ft Bragg where my tent rubbed through my bag and one ding on the tank. The bike runs perfectly, starts easily and rides as a vintage Bmw should but is an old bike that isn’t perfect all the time. All services have been done at the correct intervals throughout my ownership of it and it’s been ridden with care.
