I bought this bike in 2012 and baby-kept it ever since. It had 9,500 miles when I bought it and I only added a couple thousand since then. The bike was completely redesigned with many custom parts for the vintage cafe racer look. The highlight is the custom hand-made alloy (aluminum) tank by the late Terry Baker of T.A. Baker from the UK. http://tabclassics.com/product/triumph-slippery-sam-style-alloy-fuel-tank-for-carb-version-hinckley-thruxton-and-bonneville/.%20
The bike has a minimum of $4K of custom parts and work done to it to strip it down to a naked, cafe racer look – custom front and rear low-profile turn signals, all wires hidden, Dominator Touring exhaust, rear fender elimination, alloy T.A. Baker tank with matching passenger seat cowl and fender, custom shocks, bar end mirror, chain cover removed, upgraded smaller sized battery, and so much more… I also just recently completely rebuilt the carbs. So, the bike is in great condition and looks like the cafe racer from the 50s! As an added bonus, the bike will come with many of the original parts (covers, tank, cowl, shocks, new handlebars, etc.). See pics of the original parts (probably worth another $1k).
I’m selling because I don’t ride it very much these days and it sits in my garage. I also completed full maintenance on the bike this summer at a local dealer.
