For sale great custom bike based on Yamaha XV 920 / 1983. I built it for myself, enjoyed the build, but now its time for another project 😉

ore details about the project:

Donor bike: Yamaha XV 920 (Midnight Virago) 1983. Bike was totally stripped apart, all cleaned, restored and painted. All parts that were needed to be replaced – were replaced for new ones.

Frame:

  • frame was never cut. Its the beauty of this frame – you don’t have to do almost anything with it but just to add a subframe for the seat (its higher than original). Most important – no cutting
  • all electric – hidden and minimized
  • battery – right side of the bike
  • exhaust – new one, built with stainless steal
  • new sets (Marazzi)
  • clip ons
  • new seat
  • tank: Benelli Mojave replica
  • spoke wheels – customer work

Painting:

  • frame & wheels – powder coating black satin
  • tank – Triumph paint, looks great, inside its covered with resin, no rust ever again (Restom)
  • all screws – galvanized

Wheels:

  • spoke wheels, custom work, hubs come from other models of Virago (535, 125)
  • tires: 130/80/17 oraz 110/90/18
  • all bearings new

Engine:

  • all parts apart, all inspected and rebuilt
  • some parts new, or restored, sorry – hard to keep all details in english here
  • engine block sanded (with glass balls) and powder coated – looks perfect (however – need to clean some parts because of petrol licking after the first start)
  • carbs – as air filter comes from K&N I needed to give it bigger nozzle – works great, more fuel coming through it
  • engine starts just perfect, with one click

Other mods:

  • front suspension – progressive springs
  • rear suspension: shock repainted, bearings new, all works good
  • blinkers – led, new from Louis
  • K&N air filer
  • mirrors from Louis
  • all rubber elements new
  • and many other…

So… in general – bike is just like new, sounds great, all is restored and as good as can be. I am using the bike every day so its not as clean as when it was assembled and photographed for the first time 😉
