Interested in things Scottish? If so, this may be the bike for you. My theme in creating this cafe racer was a tribute to the Scottish racing team of Ecurie Ecosse. They have a storied past back to the 50’s when they started racing Jaguars. The team is still active today in Edinburgh and you can find them at www.ecurieecosse.com.
This bike started out as a red, 2004 stock Thruxton with 5100 miles. The alloy tin work (tank, side covers and fenders) were fabricated for me by The Tank Shop in Dunfries Scotland. Fairing is from Airtech, with CRA fairing mount, and the windscreen is from Gustaffson. The exhaust is a full stainless steel system from D&D and is definitely much louder than stock. I installed a NARK airbox removal kit and individual K&N filter pods. The carbs were re-jetted per recommended guidelines from Jenk’s Bolts in the UK and their performance is spot on. I also installed Race Tech front fork springs, Hagon rear shocks, custom rear brake and shift levers, Ricks stator and regulator/rectifier, Sargent custom seat and custom lights.
