industrial Moto, LLC is proud to present for bid our latest build – ‘Project Scout’
This bike is guaranteed to turn heads wherever it goes. Its story began as a 1983 Yamaha XV750 Virago with 2,100 original miles. Industrial Moto has written a new chapter. Now available for purchase, Project Scout will be one of the most unique Viragos in existence. The finished powder coat color scheme includes Bead Blasted Bronze, Solar Flare, Rust, and Satin Black.

This build was inspired by the rugged off-road look of the old International Scout 4x4s once owned by the industrial Moto family and is badged with the Scout emblem. It features many handmade parts, including a hand milled triple tree with embedded tach/speedometer by Motogadget. Custom handlebar and foot controls, handmade foot pegs, custom stainless wool packed exhaust, and an air intake that flows with the theme of the bike were all hand machined and powder coated to match. The sub-frame and seat are one-of-a-kind, handmade features (thanks to Tuffside for covering the seat in the black tweed fabric).
The suspension has been modernized with a GSX-R mono shock in the rear, and rebuilt forks re-purposed from a ’92 CB750 provide support in the front. The CB’s matching 5-spoke wheels didn’t go to waste either, and were fitted with Heidenau K60 Scout tires to finish off this unique build. Combining all this with an original 1974 Suzuki GT750 Water Buffalo tank completed the brawny look we envisioned with our original concept.
The motor and chassis were completely re-built with all new seals, gaskets, and bearings for the forks, wheels, steering, and brakes, and the carburetor was rebuilt and re-jetted. An all new charging system powers the hidden Anti-Gravity Lithium battery. The heart of the electrical system is controlled by Motogadget’s new m.unit blue. This feature rich device pairs with the m.ride app to allow full control and status monitoring of the bike’s electrical system, alarm and maintenance schedule from your phone. Your phone can also serve as the keyless ignition system, but no worries for those that want the traditional keyed starting system. Project Scout is equipped with a keyed ignition.
For state inspection requirements Project Scout is equipped with front and rear facing turn signals, illuminated license plate bracket, hi/low beam indicator and left/right fold-able bar end mirrors(removed for the photos).
Project Scout showcases retro styling combined with modern features offering the best of old and new that’s sure to set it apart from the rest.
