This is a pre unit Bullet 500 built in 2001, but like all pre units following much of the original casting from the 60s. However, this bike is far from stock with a Bob Newby racing clutch, which is a ton of fun and also removes the headache of stock clutch drag. Also, an alloy tank and clubman seat from the Norman Hyde Clubman kit, front disc brake, rear gas shocks, and electronic ignition. I believe the head is also slightly oversized, but I’ve never gotten into it as I am not the original owner, though I’ve owned it for about 10 years.  It’s way faster that my previous stock Bullet.

Almost new Avon tires and has been ridden on the weekend about once a month over the years I’ve had it. Also have a nice box of spares, including most of the stock parts, and a battery tender to go with it.   I recently put in a Smiths replica speedo, so see photo of previous speedo and combine for  5,789 miles in listing.  However, my title from 2009 shows 3,513 and says not actual mileage.  I assume this was because of the conversion from stock.
Very well cared for, and hard to part with, but moving on from motorcycling for family reasons.
Check out this quick video of the bike running https://youtu.be/DfObHUOGN1s My iPhone mic doesn’t do the sound justice. Wait until you open’er up.
Warning: This bike will kick back from time-to-time when kick starting.  This can probably be worked out by  slightly  adjusting the electronic ignition timing, but I have not changed it since it does not bother me that much.  If you have a weak ankle you might want to take care of that first.
