Up for bid is a beautiful 1973 Triumph TR7RV Tiger 750 converted to a Café Racer. This bike will get plenty of attention at “Bike Night” or any other biking event you may choose to attend. It was voted Best British Custom at the 2018 British in the Blue Ridge Rally. Runs great and with the Cocktail Shaker exhaust sounds terrific. It has a custom-made Corbin seat and loaded with chrome. I just took it on a trip to the mountains where it performed and handled beautifully on winding roads. The engine has had a “top end” overhaul by a renowned vintage Triumph mechanic with less than 1,000 miles on it:
Tri Spark Ignition Pingle combined horn and kill switch New exhaust pipes Chrome front and rear hub Barnett clutch and throttle braided stainless steel cable covers Braided stainless steel fuel and oil lines, chrome fuel filter and new petcocks Oil cooler with a Hyde support Avon tires with plenty of tread Hagon rear shocks New oil pump and fork seals (replaced at the same time as the “top end”) High output single phase alternator Brand new battery and voltage regulator (less than 2 weeks old) Nissin Axial Master Brake Cylinder Drag bar handlebars with custom chrome handle bar riser clamps EBC stainless steel front brake rotor Chrome plated caliper cover, rock boxes and inspection caps and rocker oil feed pipe Chrome foot pegs, shift lever, kick start, brake pedal and rod and chain guard Kuryakyn LED battery gauge Kuryakyn hand grips Late model Triumph bar end mirrors LED tail light Center stand Custom chrome side kickstand with welded extension Working factory fork lock with key Indicator lights for oil pressure, ignition and high beam Downtube leather tool bag Many fasteners have been replaced with chrome or polished stainless steel Battery maintainer receptacle
The bike looks great and shows well but it is not Concourse D’Elegance condition. It has been enjoyed and ridden and upon very close examination does have minor imperfections. I am providing the maximum number of photographs as allowed for your review.
I have owned this bike since 2002 and I have a clear Florida title. The tachometer and speedometer were replaced a few years ago so the actual mileage is not known. I’m selling to move on to another project.
I have posted a Y ouTube video starting and running the bike. It started on the first kick after sitting for few days. You can see this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRMvHWA31O0
