The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It costs you nothing and it never changes what we recommend or the order we rank things in.

Which links are affiliate links
We use a handful of affiliate programs, and we're upfront about all of them:
- Amazon Associates — most gear and parts links (helmets, jackets, gloves, boots and build parts) go to Amazon with our tracking tag.
- Motorcycle-parts retailers (such as RevZilla via Impact) — as these programs are approved, some parts and apparel links will point to those retailers. They're treated exactly the same way as Amazon links here.
Every affiliate link is marked up as rel="sponsored nofollow", and links that aren't affiliate links (our own guides, manufacturer references, standards bodies) earn nothing.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Rankings are never for sale. The order of any roundup is set by what suits the bike and the rider — never by commission rate.
- We never publish scraped prices. Prices move, so we link out to the live price rather than quote a figure that's stale by the time you read it.
- We never fake reviews, ratings or "we tested it" claims. If we didn't earn a verdict, we don't print one.
- Valuations are estimates, not appraisals. The value calculator gives a grounded, directional range to inform a decision — not a guaranteed sale price.
- Safety specs are stated honestly. We cite a CE level only where the maker publishes one, and flag it where they don't.
