1971/1974 Norton Commando 850 Café Racer Motorcycle I’ve owned the bike for 10+ years and it has provided me a lot of joy through the mountains of upstate New York. I purchased the bike in amazing restored condition by a known Norton collector from Florida, he was 72 when I purchased the bike and the only reason he sold it was he was having a hard time kicking at his age. The bike has a 71’ frame but all 850 components from 74’, was not uncommon at the time to switch frames. Bike has Dunlop and Devon wheels, Corbin café seat, Koni adjustable shocks, amal carbs with braded lines and all lucas lights, etc. Bike has been maintained through the years with proper oil changes, tuning, etc. Over the past few years unfortunately with small kids I haven’t been able to ride the bike and it needs some love and a new home, I’ve stored it in a temperature controlled garage and properly stored with correct fluids, etc. Some things I believe it will need: New Spark Plugs New Battery New Tires Brakes gone through Tuning of engine and Carb Flush and Cleaning of tank Included with the bike is all the literature phototgraphed, specialized tools for Norton’s and british bikes and a transferable New York registration (NY does not give titles for bikes before 1972). All in all a great bike with a little elbow grease will be a head turning show winner, want it to go to a good home for the next caretaker. Feel free to reach out with any questions. We are moving so bike will need to be picked up within 7 days of auction close. I’m selling without reserve to the high bidder, good luck!
