Up for sale is a beautiful 1973 Honda CB350Four cafe racer. This bike is an awesome and rare collector bike that has a great history and heritage behind its design and production. The smooth sewing machine like SOHC engine was a favorite of Soichiro Honda himself and he chose it as his daily bike in its time. This one is far from an original form with many changes, mostly to its aesthetics and riding stance. I first got this bike in complete stock form but needed some work to get it running in 2014 when it had 7,800 miles. New plugs, points adjustment and a carb rebuild got it running and once I verified the engines health with great consistent compression I began the teardown and custom build with nothing but the color and style in mind. I was hooked on the cafe racer look and one of my favorite colors is Hondas championship white (NH-0). Starting up front the original upper triple tree and handlebars has been replaced with billet clip-ons and upper triple clamp from DCC. A digital guage, showing just under 4,600 miles since rebuild, from Acewell incorporates speed, rpms and dummy lights. The OEM keyed ignition switch has been re-located next to the gauge in a handmade aluminum bezel/filler. The front fender has been lowered and shortened and painted in a metallic gray matching the side covers and rear swingarm. The fuel tank was de-rusted and emblems have been shaved and replaced with a beautiful airbrush design of the vintage Honda wings before it was clear-coated. A custom mounted and fabricated from metal seat pan features black vinyl and gray synthetic suede pleats over the new foam. A Honda Grom tail light has been integrated into the pan and micro signal indicators are mounted to the upper shock eyelet. The wheels are original that have been powder coated in a gold metallic on the hoops and black hubs laced together with stainless steel spokes from Buchanan. Tires are the popular Avon road rider. The engine top end was just done last winter because of the notorious oil leak due to old worn out seals. It recieved an OEM NOS head gasket, valve lap and adjustment along with a carb cleaning and sync. I did a deep cleaning and detail of the entire bike at that time along with a new EBC clutch so its in great shape and ready for many miles and shows ahead. It also got a new master cylinder and front caliper and brake pads. Engine side covers, tappet covers, carb bowls and caps have all been sanded and polished along with many other parts on the bike. It has custom mounts fabricated for the billet indexable rear sets and custom linkages. It has a pair of Progressive suspension rear shocks and handles well, goes and stops. There are lots of small details and handmade parts that I’m forgetting but can be appreciated when seen in person. The bike starts easy and is very reliable with kick and electric start. All lighting has been updated to LED and power comes from a lithium battery to save weight. The exhaust is an OEM CB400F super sport exhaust in bronze heat wrap with a modified shorty muffler that is not too loud providing a great song from 750 to 10,500 RPMS. The stock airbox keeps the bike reliable and trouble free at idle and wide open throttle just as Honda designed it to work. Points ignition has been updated with electronic from Dynatec. The bike has a clean Oregon title in my name. Asking $7900 OBO. Thank you.
